Long run with some variations
How I go out with a autogenerated map to search for fine trails, ending up in the bushes and on the roads.

Yesterday, I did my first run on my vacation, and first long run for a long time. I couldn't decide where to go or what kind of run. So I took my autogenerated 1:10.000 map over the nearby area up north (and I also brought my 1:20.000 just in case, I wanted to run for at least 2 hours). These maps is from the latest version 4 of Gokartor (an autogenerated orienteering map over almost the whole of sweden).

I started out on my usual path through the forest in the backyard of the cottage. It is thick green, and the worst kind of terrain. But once you get through, it opens up and there is a really small path that leads over a nice hill. It is not visible on this autogenerated map. After a couple of kilometers, the nice trails ends and you have to pass through some areas with sticks all over the ground to get to some other runnable areas. Not the ideal trail- or orienteering running area.
Then uphill to get some view over the typical Hälsingland hills:
Then I had to fight through some "Fight" terrain ("410 Vegetation: Fight" according to the specification ISOM 2017-2) to get to some more runnable roads and paths, this was my favourite of the day - perfect softness through the blueberry bushes!

The rest was different kinds of road running through this vaste land (I only saw some people on the last kilometers while running on an asphalt road). First going 10 km on a straight dirt road through the forest. I passed a fresh water source just at the moment I drank the last in my water bottle.

On the last part I saw one passing car and two people biking. And for the first time ever I saw an "ambulant road line":

Even though I wanted to find some new trails going farther north than I use to in this forest, which I did not, I was happy with this run because I had fast legs today and it was a great run this last evening of june.
I made a YouTube shorts from this run, hopefully there will be some longform video soon.
